Sage Salt − aromatic seasoning for a unique taste

Sage is one of the oldest known aromatic and medicinal plants. It was so popular with the Greeks, the Romans and in the Middle Ages that at times only selected herbalists were entrusted with collecting it. Even today, sage is used as a universal medicinal herb against many ailments in naturopathy. Furthermore, sage is a well-known, popular herb in the Mediterranean cuisine, for example in saltimbocca, entrecote, or antipasti.

Our almost head-high sage brings us a rich harvest all year round, that we love to share with others. In addition to dried sage leaves for teas, inhaling and, for example, butter sauce for gnocchi or pasta, we have now also created a salt with the popular aromatic herb. Perfect for grilling − just give it a try!

We do not use artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or insecticides. Our sage is washed with pure spring water from our own water mines before further processing. To achieve an aromatic taste, we mix sea salt with over 1/3 finely chopped sage and dry the mixture gently over the wood stove.
